**Focus keyword decided: “Grass staking rewards”**
Grass staking rewards have moved from a “maybe someday” promise to a concrete, on-chain reality — and if you’ve been sleeping on this DePIN project, the last two weeks just changed the calculus entirely.
Grass is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that incentivizes users to share unused internet bandwidth. That bandwidth is then used to collect and process publicly available internet data for artificial intelligence laboratories.
I’ve had the browser extension running in the background for months, and what drew me in was simple: low effort, real upside. But the project has grown into something far more interesting than a passive side hustle.
The biggest news of the past few days:
Multicoin Capital announced on September 30 that it invested in Grass, a DePIN network paying over 6 million users for idle bandwidth so AI labs can scrape live web data.
That kind of institutional stamp of approval matters.
GRASS traded above $0.80 on September 30, an all-time high, gaining more than 25% in a single day on the Multicoin news.
The token has since pulled back, but the story underneath the price spike is what actually has my attention.

Revenue totaled $17 million in 2025, then reached roughly the same amount in the first half of 2026 alone. Full-year guidance stands at $65 to $75 million, while a Coinbase spot listing in August 2026 broadened access to the GRASS token.
These aren’t vaporware numbers —
an independent third-party review substantiated over $32 million in revenue, boosting financial transparency.
For active node runners, the points model is worth understanding properly.
Grass Points are now divided into two categories: Uptime Points and Network Points. Alongside this, you can also stake $GRASS tokens, receive long-term incentives, strengthen network reliability, and earn additional rewards.
Uptime Points are primarily tied to $GRASS token rewards via airdrops, while Network Points appear to be the ones currently compensated in stablecoins like USDC.
That distinction matters — your node needs to be actively routing traffic, not just sitting idle, to maximize earnings.
On the Grass staking rewards front, the governance vote passed on July 7, 2026 is arguably the most important development for long-term holders.
A governance vote was passed to distribute a share of the network’s USDC revenue to GRASS stakers. The network reported $33 million in annualized revenue from selling bandwidth and AI training data.
This transforms GRASS from a speculative token into something with genuine yield mechanics backed by real commercial activity.
The project confirmed that the claim window for Season 2 rewards is open until January 22, 2027. Rewards, distributed in USDC, are based on Network Points earned from bandwidth sharing between October 2024 and June 2026.
If you contributed bandwidth during that window, go check your dashboard now.
One thing worth watching:
a major investor token unlock of approximately 25% of supply concludes in late October 2026, posing a significant overhang if holders sell.
That’s a real near-term risk to price. But paired with the Multicoin backing, the revenue verification, and the Grass staking rewards now flowing to participants, the long-term picture looks stronger than it has at any point since launch. I’m keeping my node online.
